How to execute TCL/Python/Perl scripts

Summary:

The purpose is to be able to execute scripts from a job scheduling of CloudShell. Current Version 6.0

1. The process is create an execution server that have the language API/executable installed registered with CloudShell
2. Schedule a job to executes from the Web Portal Scheduling and Queuing

Setup an execution server:  (this example is for TCL)

1. From the installation package,  “CloudShell/Integration/” copy the “Custom Execution Server Sample” to the Server where the script will run
2. Install Python 2.7.x, 2.7.8 is used
3. Edit the config.json file
   1. Change the “name” : “TCLEngine”
   2. Change the “type” : “TCLScript”
   3. Save.
   4. In the web Portal clicked on “Job Scheduling” Icon. 4^thone down on the left
   5. On the address bar of the browser add “TestTypes” after “SnQ”+ “/”
   6. Click on “Add” Button and make sure that the 3.b (The type) from above matches with the “Type”.
   7. Open the command line to the “Custom Execution Server Sample” folder
   8. Register the server by executing “ces.py register”, please type in exactly
   9. Run the execution server “ces.py”

Now that the execution server is created and registered to CloudShell

1. From the web port “Job Scheduling” the “Add New” pull down menu choose “TCLScript”
2. Name the Test Suite and on the far right click on “+” to add a test Script
3. “Name (or Executable) field is to define the Language API executable. Example: “C:\tcl\bin\tclsh.exe”
4. “Arguments” contains the test script and any arguments. Example: “myTestSctipt.tcl Apple”
5. Provide an amble time when setting the duration of the test
