VmWare VSphere Library: Access to the registry key error during 'set session' step

Summary: When working with the VmWare Library you may see the following error when trying to "set session".

Set-ExecutionPolicy : Access to the registry key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1\ShellIds\Microsoft.PowerShell' is denied.

Issue: This error indicates a permissions issue since the user running Studio does not have required permissions to access the registry.

Solution:Run Studio as administrator or disable UAC.
