Natti Katz suggested an idea (#3893) · Aug 07, 2018 at 12:22 PM · vmshellcloudshell
The same convienience of running commands across networking devices could be useful with VMs. Would save the trouble of extracting the IP from resource context and manually setting up SSH connection every time.

Hi Natti, thank you for posting this idea.
When an app is deployed, the deployed app resource is based on a default shell that comes OOB and has no commands. You can create your own shell using the "Deployed App" shell template in shellfoundry and select this shell as the "App Resource", see more information in here and in our devguide.
It is also possible to run a script via SSH using the app's Configuration Management - just add your script to the app and it will be automatically executed after the app is deployed. More information app's configuration management can be found here.
Enhancing the default app shell with commands is currently not planned.
Alona.
